Federal Way

Full-Time

The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness of the Village, including the common areas and resident’s weekly apartment cleaning, the laundry service for the residents, and the maintenance of the Village. Ensures that these services are delivered in a courteous and cheerful manner.

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday with Friday and Saturday off.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Housekeeping Supervisor and the Community Relations Manager to coordinate apartment turnovers in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Regularly cleans apartments.
  • Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, to accommodate the 24-hour, 7-day-a-week nature of our work.
  • Willing to wear a pager and be on call if needed.
  • Handles special projects as requested.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with detailed procedures and checklists.

Physical Requirements: Good physical and mental health. Work is of light (5-25 lb.) to medium (25-40 lb.). May be required to lift and carry upholstered furniture, and/or lift and carry major appliances using an appliance dolly, or heavy garbage sacks of 50 lb. or more.

Special Requirements: A preference for routine and organized activities. A temperament adaptable to routine work and to perform short-cycle repetitive duties under specific instructions. Has an eye for detail. Flexible in work routine and work schedule. Has an ability to get along with others. Has a positive attitude and is a team player.

Experience/Education: Ability to speak, read, and write English and follow written and verbal instructions.

Full-Time

Provides needed services to residents. Completes tasks related to the upkeep of the community. The caregiver will read, act on, and evaluate each Resident’s Service Plan. Documents completion, or documents and reports reasons for the omission of resident services. Contributes to the overall goal of providing a safe, warm, caring, and homelike environment for our residents.

Part-Time

Village Green Retirement Campus is looking for part-time evening and weekend servers, who will help to raise the standard of living for our residents. Competitive pay and guaranteed fun work environment. Must be flexible, hours and days include the weekend.

Full-Time

Village Green Retirement Campus is looking for a full-time dishwasher, who will help raise the standard of living for our residents. We are looking for a Dishwasher to join our kitchen staff and maintain cleanliness around our Assisted Living. Dishwasher responsibilities include collecting used dishes, plates, and utensils, loading washing machines, and stacking washed items appropriately. If you want to kickstart your career in the dining industry and be part of the behind-the-scenes operations, we’d like to meet you.

Full-Time

Village Green Retirement Campus is looking for a full-time cook who will help raise the standards of living for our residents. Hours are flexible and include weekends. Vacation and Sick time available. The Cook performs as a prep, pastry and short-order cook with the opportunity for creativity and growth to expand culinary skills.

West Seattle

Full-Time

Assists the Activities Coordinator with planning and implementing activities for all residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Activities Coordinator in the planning, scheduling, and implementing activities for all independent and assisted living residents.
  • Assists bus driver (when needed) in driving vehicle(s) for daytime and evening excursions such as shopping trips, appointments, van rides, and field trips.
  • Assists in major event planning, i.e., annual spring tea, summer barbecue, Christmas party, etc.
  • Helps maintain current and attractive bulletin boards in all buildings.
  • The assistant is familiar with all residents.  Assists with annual re-evaluations.  Participates in new resident assessments.  Works to successfully integrate new residents into the community.
  • In a positive and supportive manner, reminds, encourages, gathers, and escorts residents to and from activities and entertainment.  Tracks attendance at activities and includes on the monthly report.
  • Uses computer to create signs and schedules.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive and helpful relationship with public, private, and community organizations that are available to assist seniors.
  • Organizes, maintains, and keeps the photo albums current.
  • Participates in annual program evaluation.  Makes suggestions for improvements for the coming year.
  • Participates in a semi-annual inventory of all activity supplies and equipment.  Orders new supplies as needed.
  • Assists with volunteer coordination.  Recruits, trains, and monitors volunteers.  Assists in maintaining a volunteer database to include important and legal information required by DSHS.
  • Works a flexible schedule to accommodate the seven-day-a-week nature of our business.
  • Willing to wear a pager and be on-call.
  • Handles special projects as requested.

Physical Requirements: This position requires someone in good physical condition.  The assistant needs to assist the residents as they get on and off the vehicle(s).  The assistant needs to be able to lift and carry boxes and bags up to 20 pounds for short distances.  This position also requires the driver to be behind the wheel for up to one hour at a time.

Special Requirements: Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record and be able to obtain a commercial driver’s license.  Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of all aspects of the assisted living program, the residents, and staff.
  • Ensure all practices are compliant with Washington State regulations governing assisted living.
  • Hire, train and supervise care staff, medication technicians, and resident care coordinator,
  • Develop and maintain health services plans and resident assessments via electronic medical record system for all assisted living clients.
  • Managing licensing inspections, surveys, and investigations in partnership with the campus director.
  • Monitors all medications, reviews documentation, and ensures that all physician orders are followed.
  • Coordinate care and service with home health, hospice, and outpatient rehabilitation services.
  • Cultivate and maintain working relationships with physicians, residents, family members, community staff and department managers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Current Washington State RN or LPN nursing license in good standing.
  • Experience caring for seniors in a community setting is preferred but not required.
  • Previous leadership/supervisory experience in a related healthcare setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the Washington State Regulations governing assisted living preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.
